Customise Your Canopee
The Canopee base can be painted in a variety of colours to match the surrounding environment and your vision.
Some accessories can also be added. Think circular seating, circular bar stool, instant shade, lighting or misting – there is a suitable accessory to dress up your Canopee to deliver the desired experience.

The Technologies Behind The Canopee

This is exactly the story behind the technology that led to the birthing of the Canopee. It is the construction industry and the horticulture industry coming together to create an innovative solution to respond to the climate change challenge that has become very real in our cities.
The Grid shell
Made of an interconnected grid of lightweight glass fibre composite rods, the Canopee grid shell idea was the result to a simple question: What shape would best replicate the benefits of a tree - small footprint and large canopy cover?
It is the culmination of 15 years of R&D in alternative building materials and spatial geometry at the French University Ecole des Ponts et Chaussees.
The Smart Irrigation System
Developed in-house, the Sensopee Smart Irrigation System is designed to water the plants how and when they need it. Informed by humidity sensors, the system will dispense water from the water tank just when required to promote healthy plant growth while not wasting water.
The Sensopee IoT device is 100% solar powered meaning the Canopee requires no connection to mains water or electricity. When your water tank runs low, you will automatically receive an email to trigger a refill.

To best suit the various climates and microclimates that can be found around Australia and fine-tune the alchemy of what makes a successful project in the long term, we are constantly trialling new plants (natives and non-natives), new soil mixes and new fertilisation regimes.
